A Creative Approach to Teaching and Learning
A great deal of emphasis is placed on the teaching of the creative subjects throughout the school. The school has been awarded Arts Mark Gold for a number of years in recognition of its provision in art and design, dance, drama and music. The expertise of staff and the support and involvement of outside specialists is used to deliver a range of exciting opportunities for all learners. Pupils have had the opportunity to showcase their work in a variety of contexts. They have performed dances at The Lowry, whilst the school choir has performed at the Bridgewater Hall, for local charities and throughout the local community. Pupils have had their art work exhibited throughout Salford and Manchester and have received many accolades and awards for their achievements.
The creative approach to teaching and learning can be seen throughout the curriculum. As a school we are constantly seeking new and imaginative ways to challenge and inspire learners, ensuring they achieve both excellence and enjoyment form their time at St. Phillip's.
