The Mission Team

The Mission Team at St. Philip’s RC plays a vital role in supporting and strengthening the Catholic Life of our school by helping pupils deepen their understanding of their faith and encouraging them to live out Gospel values each day. As “God’s chosen ambassadors on Earth,” these dedicated pupils act as role models, guiding younger children in how to “live each day like Jesus.” Meeting each week, the Mission Team offers blessings with Holy Water, leads themed play activities, shares Bible stories at lunch, and supports our youngest pupils through crafts and prayer. They also take on roles such as reading in church, leading assemblies, and welcoming visitors and new families, helping everyone to feel part of “God’s family.” As ambassadors, they show what it means to live joyfully and faithfully, demonstrating and helping others to grow in faith, confidence, and love. The Mission Team's work reflects our shared commitment to being “on a lifelong journey of faith,” as they uphold the Gospel and Servite values each day within our school and wider community.
