Wider Catholic Life

At St. Philip’s, our Catholic faith is at the heart of everything we do. We are a vibrant and inclusive school community where children are nurtured to grow spiritually, morally, socially, and academically.

Our school mission, “We are the hands through which He works,” is lived out daily by staff and pupils alike. Through acts of kindness, prayer, service, and leadership, our children actively shape and contribute to the Catholic life and wider mission of our school. From leading acts of worship to taking part in ecological initiatives, charitable fundraising, and outreach projects, our pupils truly embody Gospel values.

We are proud of the many ways our children live out their faith. They take on key leadership roles within our Mission Team, Laudato Si’ Eco Leaders, House Captains, Young Ambassadors, and School Council - leading liturgies, supporting local charities, caring for God’s creation, and making a positive impact in their communities. Whether it’s through family litter-picks, community visits to care homes, supporting food banks, our pupils are passionate about making the world a better place. Catholic Social Teaching is embedded in everything we do, and our children respond to this with maturity, compassion, and a deep sense of responsibility.

Our X feed (formerly Twitter) is a wonderful window into the Catholic life and wider experiences of our school. It captures real-time moments of learning, faith, joy, and community - featuring posts from our Eco Team, Mission Team, school choir, community visits, retreats, celebrations, liturgies, and so much more. We warmly invite you to explore the feed and get a true flavour of life at St. Philip’s, where our pupils live out their mission as young Catholics every single day.
